Industrial Gangbang

2022 / Moving image / 3'4

Industrial Gangbang explores the shifting landscapes of desire, questioning how pleasure is shaped and constrained within the evolving spaces of virtual reality and pornography. Investigating how VR replicates the dominant male gaze, the work reveals how these digital environments, though no longer bound by physical bodies, continue to reinforce familiar power structures.

At its core, the piece is infused with fragments from a biophilic erotic dream—one where the body becomes porous, slipping between creatures, sensations, and shifting levels of perception. Transcending human form, it ventures into otherworldly encounters and fluid, ever-changing realms. Moving seamlessly between realities, the voice drifts from the hyper-mediated space of VR pornography into the boundless terrain of dream memory.

A vague, dancing figure emerges, dissolving into the voice's fantasies, thoughts, and layered states of consciousness. Through this journey, the video directly addresses the viewer, inviting them to question where desire begins and where it might lead when freed from the structures that seek to contain it.

The moving image piece was created as part of a larger series of work, named Land of my dreams between 2019-2022, bringing together sculptural objects, installation, photography, vegetal organisms and moving-image. It was exhibited during the 2022 Royal College of Arts degree show in London.

Industrial Gangbang, was selected by Silicon Valet for their 2022 curated online screening in collaboration with Hybrid Realities festival. It was also exhibited as part of the Technologies and the Abyss show at the Dyson gallery in London in 2022.
