Sexual Matter is a 3-hour workshop, initiated by julie dusuel and Meghan Murphy in 2021, and ongoing, in response to the lack of spaces to critically and collectively discuss and explore sexual desire.

The workshops, led by the two artists who met during their MA at the Royal College of Art in 2020, are open to all, but particularly encourage women, non-binary people and queer people to join. It is addressed to those who have a close or slight interest in the subject of sexuality and eroticism, and want to develop their creative writing skills and critical thinking.

During the first part of the workshop, the facilitators share different source materials to support a conscious discussion, exploring a few examples of contemporary feminist theory and other essential references on the subject of sexuality and desire. It is followed by guided meditation and creative writing exercises.
